#1 Enchanted Rock location
This blog post has been ALONG TIME coming and what better time than now?
I mean better late than never, right?!
With Wedding season right around the corner I know several locals are having their beautiful engagement portraits taken and I just wanted to share my top 3 favorite nature locations here in COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS!!!
First off, is my sweet spot.
I call it Enchanted Rock but you can refer to it as whatever you wish. :)
This spot is seriously so sweet to me and holds a special place in my heart. About 2 years ago my husband and I were driving all around town with our baby girl, specifically scouting out new photography locations to really set me apart from everyone else. At this time, I was getting a little too comfortable shooting at the George Bush Presidential Library and really needed a change of scenery. We just so happened to stumble across this beautiful creek located in the heart of South College Station. You can find it in the Indian Lakes subdivision off of Chaco Canyon Dr.
If you’re driving too fast, you just might miss it.
It is seriously breath taking, even if you aren't a photographer and just want to explore, check it out!!
#2 Texas A & M Research Park
Next up is the ever so popular study and "feed the ducks" location, known as Texas A&M Research Park. This location has it all!! From the beautiful rock formations, to the wide open fields. The way the sun sets behind the park is nothing short of amazing! It’s the perfect spot for golden hour portraits!!
Texas A&M Research Park is located off of University between 2818 and Wellborn Rd.
#3 Lick Creek Park
Last but most certainly not least, is Lick Creek Park!!
Oh my goodness this park is beautiful and HUGE!! I love the variety of nature you find here.
The tall grass, clusters of trees, the trails...oh it’s all wonderful!
You can shoot at sun rise or sunset and fall in love with your lighting!
Lick creek park is located off of Rock Prairie road in College Station.
Even if you don’t plan on shooting a session here, it’s wonderful just to explore!!
If this blog gave you some new location ideas please give it a like and share it on your page!
Thank you so much reading!!
